§289 — Marking of nozzles, strainers and filters and of pesticide in use

ノズル、ストレーナー及びフィルターには、その種類及び大きさを明確に識別できるよう表示しなければならない。

Nozzles, strainers and filters must be marked so that their type and size can be clearly identified.

2.4.9.　使用中の農薬の表示

適切な場合には、機械には、操作者が使用中の農薬の名称を掲示できる特定の取付具を取り付けなければならない。

Where appropriate, the machinery must be fitted with a specific mounting on which the operator can place the name of the pesticide in use.

農薬散布機械に取り付けられ、又はスペア／消耗品として供給されるノズル（空気式ミストブロワーのものを除く。）、ストレーナー及びフィルターは、操作者が正しい種類が取り付けられていることを確認できるよう、その種類及び大きさの詳細に関する情報が得られるよう明確に表示又は識別されなければならない。必要に応じて適切なコードを使用し、容易に理解できる表示システムを使用することが望ましい。機械の寿命の間に交換又は取替えが必要となることが予想されない空気式ミストブロワーのノズルには、そのような表示は必要ない。

Nozzles – except those of pneumatic mist blowers –, strainers and filters fitted to the pesticide machinery or supplied as spares/consumables must be clearly marked or identified in order to have information about details of their type and size so the operator can ensure the correct type has been fitted. It is preferable to use a marking system that is easily understood, with the use of appropriate codes as required. Nozzles for pneumatic mist blowers that are not expected to need to be replaced or interchanged within the lifetime of the machine need not be so marked.

使用中の又は機械に収容されている農薬の詳細（名称等）を示すことができる「カードホルダー」又は類似のものを機械に取り付けなければならない。これは大部分の農薬散布用移動式機械に適用されるが、携帯式散布機のような小型の機械には通常カードホルダーは必要ない。ただし、例えば書き込みができるパネルのように、散布機に内容物を記録できるべきである。

A “card holder” or similar must be fitted to the machine on which the details (name etc.) of the pesticide being used or contained in the machine can be shown. This will apply to most pesticide mobile machinery, but for smaller machines such as portable sprayers a card holder is not normally required, but it should be possible to record the content on the sprayer, such as a panel that can be written on.

機械が運ぶ農薬の表示は、主として、危険物質に分類され、関連する濃縮形態で存在する農薬の場合に必要である。公道における危険物質の輸送はADRにより規制されている。タンク内での混合により農薬の濃度が低い場合には、これは必要ない。この要件の理由は、当該農薬の損失を伴う交通事故、転倒その他の事故の場合に備えるものである。この場合、消防士のような公共サービスが周囲の環境及び住民へのリスクを評価し、必要な予防措置及び行動をとることができることが重要である。

The indication of the pesticide carried in the machine is mainly necessary in case of pesticides that are classified as hazardous substances and that are present in a relevant concentrated form. The transport of hazard substances on public roads is regulated in ADR. For low concentration of pesticides, due to the mixing in the tank, this is not necessary. The reason for this requirement is in the event of a traffic, overturning or other accident with loss of these pesticides. Here, it is important that public services like firefighters can assess the risk for the surrounding environment and population and take the necessary precautions and actions.
