§207 緩衝器
§207 — Buffers

昇降路の底部とかごの床との間には、緩衝器を設置しなければならない。
3.3. Buffers must be installed between the bottom of the shaft and the floor of the car.
この場合において、2.2にいう空間は、緩衝器が完全に圧縮された状態で測定されなければならない。
In this case, the free space referred to in point 2.2 must be measured with the buffers totally compressed.
この要件は、駆動方式の設計上、かごが2.2にいう空間に進入することができない昇降機には適用しない。
This requirement does not apply to lifts in which the car cannot enter the free space referred to in point 2.2 by reason of the design of the drive system.
緩衝器は、搬器が昇降路の底部に近すぎる位置にあるときに制御システム又は搬器の懸垂若しくは支持に故障が生じた場合に、搬器内の人を保護するために必要である。緩衝器は、そのような故障により搬器が終端停止位置を通過した場合に、昇降機のエネルギーを吸収するために必要である。
Buffers are required to protect persons in the lift carrier in case of a failure in the control system or the suspension or support of the carrier when it is too close to the bottom of the well. Buffers are required to absorb the lift energy if such a failure causes the carrier to pass the extreme stopping positions.
Buffers are safety components listed in Annex III, item 4, (a) and (b).
緩衝器に関する仕様は規格EN 81-20:2020の5.8項に示されている。緩衝器の試験方法は、この要件を満たす手段の一つとして、規格EN 81-50:2020の5.5項に定められている。
Specifications for buffers are given in clause 5.8 of standard EN 81-20:2020. Test methods for buffers are specified in clause 5.5 of the standard EN 81-50:2020, as one of the means of fulfilling this requirement.
