§190 — Means of suspension and support

かごの懸垂にロープ又はチェーンを使用する場合には、それぞれ独自の固定装置を有する少なくとも2本の独立したケーブル又はチェーンがなければならない。当該ロープ及びチェーンには、固定又はループの形成のために必要な場合を除き、継ぎ目又はスプライスがあってはならない。
Where ropes or chains are used to suspend the car, there must be at least two independent cables or chains, each with its own anchorage system. Such ropes and chains must have no joins or splices except where necessary for fixing or forming a loop.
搬器の懸垂手段及び支持手段の設計、製造及び設置は、明らかに昇降機の安全の重要な側面である。
The design, construction and installation of the means of suspension and support of the carrier are clearly a key aspect of lift safety.
懸垂手段及び支持手段とは、搬器の上方に固定されるか下方に固定されるかを問わず、搬器に作用する重力に打ち勝つために用いられるすべての手段をいう。
The means of suspension and support are all the means used to overcome the force of gravity acting on the lift carrier, whether fixed above or below the carrier.
懸垂手段の種類にかかわらず、少なくとも二つの固定システムを設けることが昇降機の安全を確保するための良好な実務である。懸垂手段は、一方の固定システム、又は昇降機のかごの重量を当該他方の固定システムに伝達する懸垂手段が故障した場合に、昇降機のかごの重量が健全な固定システムに安全に移されるよう設計すべきである。ロープ及びチェーンについては、昇降機指令は、それぞれ独自の固定システムを有する少なくとも2本の独立したケーブル又はチェーンを求めている。
Regardless of the means of suspension, at least two anchorage systems are good practice to ensure the safety of the lift. The means of suspension should be designed so that the weight of the lift car is safely shifted to an intact anchoring system in case either the other anchorage system or the means of suspension transferring the weight of the lift cabin to that other anchorage system fails. For ropes and chains, the Lifts Directive requires at least two independent cables or chains, each with its own anchorage system.
懸垂手段及び支持手段に関する仕様の例は、規格EN 81-20:2020の5.4.11、5.5.1、5.5.2、5.5.4、5.5.5、5.5.6、5.5.7及び5.5.8項に示されている。規格EN 81-20:2020の5.5.2.2項は、規格EN 81-50:2020の5.12項を参照している。

昇降機用ワイヤロープに関する仕様の例は、規格EN 12385-5:2002に示されている。そのようなロープの端末処理に関する仕様は、規格EN 13411-3:2002、EN 13411-6:2004+A1:2008、EN 13411-7:2006+A1:2008及びEN 13411-8:2011に示されている。上記の規格は任意で適用されるものであり、1.3の要件を満たす手段の一つとみなすべきである。第14条に関するコメントを参照のこと。
Examples of specifications for wire ropes for lifts are given in standard EN 12385-5:2002. Specifications for the terminations for such ropes are given in standards EN 13411--3:2002, EN 13411-6:2004+A1:2008, EN 13411-7:2006+A1:2008 and EN 13411-8:2011. Above mentioned standards are of voluntary application and should be considered as one of the means of fulfilling the requirements of point 1.3 – see comments on Article 14.
