決定第768/2008/EC号の新しい法的枠組みは、製造業者、認定代理人、輸入業者及び販売業者を「経済事業者」と定義している。規則（EU）2019/1020は、フルフィルメントサービス提供者を経済事業者の別の類型として含めている。

The New Legislative Framework as in Decision No 768/2008/EC defines the manufacturer, the authorised representative, the importer and the distributor as “economic operators”. Regulation (EU) 2019/1020 includes fulfilment service providers as another category of economic operators.
