§235 — Personal Protective Equipment Regulation (EU) 2016/425 (PPE)

個人用保護具規則（EU）2016/425（PPE）の対象となる機器は、指令2014/34/EUから明示的に除外されている。ただし、爆発性雰囲気で使用するPPEの製造は、PPE規則の附属書IIの基本安全衛生要件2.6の対象となる。爆発性雰囲気で使用することを意図したPPEは、爆発性混合物に着火させるおそれのある電気的、静電的又は衝撃による弧又は火花の発生源とならないように設計及び製造されなければならない。指令2014/34/EUのEHSRに従うことは、適合を証明する一つの方法である。
The equipment covered by the Personal Protective Equipment Regulation (EU) 2016/425 (PPE) is specifically excluded from Directive 2014/34/EU. However, the manufacture of PPE for use in explosive atmospheres is covered by basic health and safety requirement 2.6 in Annex II to the PPE Regulation. PPE intended for use in explosive atmospheres must be so designed and manufactured that it cannot be the source of an electric, electrostatic or impact-induced arc or spark likely to cause an explosive mixture to ignite. Following the EHSRs in Directive 2014/34/EU is one way to demonstrate compliance.
個人用保護具規則は2018年4月21日から適用されている。個人用保護具指令89/686/EECは同日から廃止されている。
Personal Protective Equipment Regulation is applicable from 21 April 2018. The Personal Protective Equipment Directive 89/686/EEC is repealed from this date.
