材料製造業者が自らの材料をノーティファイドボディに承認してもらいたい場合において、その材料がPEDの下の欧州整合規格であって欧州連合官報（OJEU）に引用されたものの対象となっていないときは、適切な進め方は、第15条に従って材料の欧州承認を申請することである。
If the material manufacturer wants to have his material approved by a notified body the proper way to proceed is to request European approval for material in accordance with Article 15, if the material is not covered by a European harmonised standard under the PED and cited in Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU).
