したがって、最高許容圧力が0.5 barを超えない真空ケーシングは、それ自体としては圧力機器ではない。ただし、加圧部分に取り付けられた構造要素として、それらは圧力機器の一部であり、真空ケーシング及び断熱材が加圧部分に及ぼす悪影響は考慮し回避しなければならない。
Vacuum casings which do not have a maximum allowable pressure greater than 0.5 bar are therefore not pressure equipment in their own right. However as structural elements attached to pressurized parts, they are part of pressure equipment and any negative effects of the vacuum casing and insulation on the pressurized parts must be taken into account and avoided.
