7.2 — General concept

ノーティファイドボディは、指令に記述された適合性評価業務を実施するため、EU加盟国、EEA加盟国及びEUが相互承認協定（MRA）を締結したその他の国の権限ある当局により指定される。ノーティファイドボディは、すべての必須要件について、又は第3条第3項にもとづく特定の決定若しくは委任法令などの特定の必須要件若しくは側面のみについて指定されうる。ノーティファイドボディは、一つの適合性評価モジュール（附属書III若しくは附属書IV又はその双方）にのみ関与するよう、また、すべての無線機器について又は選択した種類の無線機器のみについて指定されうる。
Notified bodies are designated by the competent authorities of the EU Member States, EEA members and other countries with which the EU has concluded Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRAs) to perform the conformity assessment tasks described in the Directive. Notified bodies can be designated for all essential requirements or only specific essential requirements or aspects such as a specific decision or delegated act under article 3.3. Notified bodies can be designated to be involved in only a conformity assessment module (Annex III or Annex IV or both) and for all radio equipment of only for selected types of radio equipment.

A list of all designated notified bodies is published on the Commission’s website. This list include general information of notified body as the address where it can be contacted, its identification number as well as the scope for which it has been notified.
