6.4.1 — Tolerances on limits set for compliance of products

整合規格は、特定のEU法令への適合を推定するための技術仕様を定めることを求められている。通常、整合規格は、製造業者が遵守すべき最大値若しくは最小値又は範囲（以下「限度値」という。）を定める。

Harmonised standards are requested to define technical specifications to presume compliance with specific pieces of EU legislation. Typically, they establish maximum or minimum values or even ranges (herein after “limits”) which the manufacturer is called to respect.

整合規格の技術要件仕様における許容差は、余裕による限度値の変動として用いられる場合、製造業者が限度値を超えることを可能にしうる。そのような場合、NLFを支える整合規格において許容差を認めることはできない。

Tolerances in technical requirement specifications in harmonised standards could allow manufacturers to overcome the limits if used as a variation of the limit by means of a margin. In such cases, tolerances cannot be accepted in harmonised standards in support of the NLF.
