多くの無線機器は電池を内蔵しており、電池に関する法令（指令2006/66/EC）が適用される。新たな電池に関する法令（EU）2023/1542は、2024年8月18日から適用されている。同規則は、連合における電池の上市又は使用開始を可能にするための持続可能性、安全性、表示、マーキング及び情報に関する要件を定めている。これは、取り外し可能性及び交換可能性に関する要件があることを意味する。同規則はまた、拡大生産者責任、廃電池の回収
