1.4 — Putting into service

加盟国は、無線機器が、適切に設置され、保守され、意図された目的のために使用される場合にREDに適合しているときは、その使用開始及び使用を認めなければならない。ただし、加盟国は、無線スペクトルの効果的かつ効率的な使用、有害な混信の回避、電磁妨害の回避又は公衆衛生に関する理由により、無線機器の使用開始及び／又は使用の制限を導入することができる（RED第7条）。本節は、本ガイドの第1.1節と併せて読むべきである。
Member States shall allow the putting into service and use of radio equipment if it complies with the RED when it is properly installed, maintained, and used for its intended purpose. Notwithstanding the forgoing, a Member State may introduce restrictions for the putting into service and/or use of radio equipment for reasons related to the effective and efficient use of the radio spectrum, to the avoidance of harmful interference, to the avoidance of electromagnetic disturbances or to public health.
