§16 — Instructions and safety information requirements

LVD第6条第7項は、製品が消費者向けかその他のエンドユーザー向けかにかかわらず、製造業者に対し、製品に取扱説明書及び安全情報を添付するよう求めている。LVDは、製品の使用者が誰であるかによる区別をしていない。
Article 6.7 of the LVD requires the manufacturer to provide instructions and safety information with the product, whether the product is intended for consumers or other end-users. The LVD does not make a distinction about who the user of the product is.
電気機器に添付される取扱説明書及び安全情報は、いずれも単一の文書に含めることができる。必要な言語は、加盟国の国内法が定める。製造業者は、言語に関する加盟国の法的要件を履行すべきである。
Both, the instructions and safety information accompanying the electrical equipment can be included in a single document. The national law in Member States shall indicate the languages required. Manufacturers should implement the legal requirements of the Member States regarding languages.
